There Is a Wonder In Every Beginning
There is a Wonder in every Beginning
To sustain it till the end, that is the trick of Time,
Our Great Mistress,
Who Masters us, before we Master it.
My Orchid dropped its blossoms in a week!
They were as violet as the eyes I dream about, and yet!
No Orchid should drop its blossoms, till I say so.
Has anyone ever seen a Dandelion drop its blossoms?
I haven’t, and yet, I know they do!
When they proceed from yellow flowers to fluff,
There must be a transition!
(But I’ve never seen it!)
An Orchid drops a complex flower in front of me.
I see it fall. I mark its passing well!
But… Dandelions hide their deaths from me!
One day, they’re yellow, and the next, just fuzz,
As if they wait till night to do their dying.
Perhaps there is a Wonder in each End,
But I have only seen the Orchid fall!
The dandelion greets me, calls me friend,
And as for good-byes, says none, not at all!
