There He Kept Her

Budding romance;
Nothing sweeter.
“Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater”

Stolen chances;
Love’s depleter.
“Had a wife and couldn’t keep her.”

Acting rash;
His thoughts are hell.
“He put her in a pumpkin shell.”

The crimson flash
bid her farewell.
“There he kept her very well."

Very well put together poetry, Rachel. Like what you've done with this, but I'm too spooked to check the link. I know...I'm a silly girl!
