There Goes My Soul
Inspired by a storyline from a fierce TV show, "Ultimate Force". With thanks and respect to our Special Air Service (SAS) and all those who fight for our country. May we show gratitude for your efforts and sacrifices.
"Who Dares Wins" is the SAS motto.
There goes my soul

There goes my soul
My body left behind
In these foreign lands
Soil soaked with my blood
No more will I feel
My country's free air in my lungs
No more will I know
The love of my family and friends
There goes my soul
My body burns, it is a pyre
All that is left is the emotions
That in loved ones I've inspired
All I take is my wisdom
The enlightenment that flows within
My soul filled with this essence
As I live on in the Universe's prism
My fellow warriors are left here
They will go on without me
My family will mourn my passing
My grave a token to my identity
There goes my soul
I fly high to Heaven's freedom
No regrets for my choices
Being a warrior for my people

"The Special Air Service (SAS) is famous around the world. Its highly trained men are renowned for their skills in covert surveillance, close-combat fighting and hostage rescue. The SAS was created during the Second World War, when small bands of soldiers were dropped behind enemy lines in North Africa and Europe. Since then, it has been deployed in most of Britain's wars."
