There Are Days When

There are days when
I feel overwhelmed by stress
Smothered
Like a grain of salt
Buried in a pile of sand

There are days when
Writer's block has me
In a tight chokehold
Squeezing my neck, almost
To the point of creative death

There are days when
I feel the fire of God's love
Burning so bright and clear
Within me
Illuminating my soul

There are days when
I feel like a masochist
Never quite satisfied
Or content, until I've suffered
To achieve a goal

There are days when
I groan with displeasure
When my alarm clock
Goes off early morn
On a weekday

Indeed, Edward, we writers have all felt this, but the Lord will come rushing to the rescue, as always. Congrats on yourplacement, and thanks for entering my humble contest. Regards, Viv
