THEORY 587439

I have a theory about theories
That I keep upon a shelf
I mention it to no one
Just keep it to my self
For if I told another
He could question and dissent
And the secret of my theory
Well, that would be dispensed
For others might conspire
Tossing logs upon the fire
And I fear a weary nation
Can’t withstand the conflagration

So, a warning to the theorists
Who argue whose is scariest
That amongst the roving drones
With their ever-searching phones
Drinking lattes, getting stoned
Who will soon become your clones

Good morning and may I suggest you keep your theory to yourself before your name appears on ‘the list’ and the world is minus one hell of a Bostonian. That’s my theory and glad to share it. ;-)

I believe the sequence is something like this...someone has an idea, it becomes a thought, whispered on the wind, listened to by the unhearing, becoming a hum, it slowly becomes an unspoken mantra, misunderstood by all who "think" they know what it means and dare to voice it aloud...theoretically speaking
