Their Shoes Pinch

I cried when I watched it A single tear Rolled down his face Crouching on the floor Of a public bathroom His bed for the night And then I wore those shoes I cried when I heard it She gasped and sobbed My children my children Her children were gone Find them she couldn't And then I wore those shoes I cried when I saw it So skinny was he His skin dark and ashy It's not him No, it can't be And then I wore those shoes I cried when it happened My bed, a public bathroom My children, gone Hunger, oh hunger I cried for them Did I have to wear their shoes?
