The Young Girl At My School

There is a young girl at my school,
But when she tries to act cool,
She gets into trouble,
And there on the double,
Suddenly, she became the fool.

Nice idea for a limerick. As far as syllables go, your last line has to be longer than your third and fourth lines, and about the same length as your first and second. How about adding two more syllables to your last line by changing it to "Suddenly, she becomes the fool"? Just a suggestion. There are many other ways to rewrite that line.
