The Year the Grizzlies Ran Wild

I remember It was the year The grizzlies ran wild And the snow fell Before autumn Had a chance to fill the land I remember The cold nights Filled with a northern wind That pulled all the leaves From the summer trees Sweeping all the colors away Leaving the forests bare Like a picture Taken in black and white I remember It was the year I awoke And when I called your name It returned to me Echoing throughout the house Without a trace of warmth Only to fall Soundlessly In the emptiness That you had left for me I remember That I wished That I could not remember At all
