The Yard Sale
The corner of the sign caught my eye
Yard sale was all is ssaid
My car was trained on what to do
As it turned, the speed jerked my head!
As I rounded the corner of that busy street,
I could not believe my eyes!
This was the biggest yard sale I had ever seen;
It stretched as far as the big blue sky!
There were clothes, what-nots, toys and curtains,
Jewelry, an umbrella, and even a car!
My mind got lost in the moment
Then I spotted that simple, little jar.
The print on the jar read, "Donations Please",
And a picture of a child was there.
She had the most beautiful, big blue eyes,
But, sadly, she had no hair!
My heart knew what I needed to do,
Though little money I had.
I really wanted that umbrella there;
But, her eyes, they looked Oh so sad.
So, I emptied my coins into that jar,
And peace flowed over me!
God turned my life around that day;
Through a "YARD SALE" He made me see!
