The Writer In Me
The writer in me captures mind images
Arranging them neatly onto the page,
Becoming intriguing creative assemblages
Some are joyful, some are filled with rage.
Especially when I have lost my self-control
I find myself responding quite unrelenting,
Most times my words are meant to console
Other times I will write a verse dissenting.
What I pen is never intended to castigate,
Though I do not hesitate to respond in kind
When I am responding to a mean reprobate
Then, I seldom hesitate to speak my mind.
