The Writer In Me

The writer in me captures mind images Arranging them neatly onto the page, Becoming intriguing creative assemblages Some are joyful, some are filled with rage. Especially when I have lost my self-control I find myself responding quite unrelenting, Most times my words are meant to console Other times I will write a verse dissenting. What I pen is never intended to castigate, Though I do not hesitate to respond in kind When I am responding to a mean reprobate Then, I seldom hesitate to speak my mind. written November 5, 2021

Speaking our "mind" and our "heart" and our "soul" is what writing is after all.

John, I can't for the life of me figure out who else it would be. Thanks for your observation.

It is impossible to write without giving your opinion in some way or another, The opinion you give may alter,it has how you see things at that time.Truth can hurt,so can lies.Eveyone is entitled to their own opinion. We should respect opinions of others even if we don't agree. As long as we all tell the truth as we see it at the time of writing and do this without malice or intent to offend.

Hello L Milton - I love your opening line because the mind is full of images to wander wherever it wants to lead be it writing words down as the author or reading illusions from the author. Whether we are the author or the reviewer may there be kind words always even when we are forced to defend a remark or two to clear up any misunderstanding. The writer in you wrote with dignity and grace here before us. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes always.
