Notes About The Poem

Just ran across this old poem while looking for another and thought it was funny.

I do remember that cold.

I'm fine now though, I lived.;)

The Worst Cold Ever

I've got a summer cold.
It's the worst one yet.
I had pneumonia once for sure,
But worse colds I forget.

My sinus hurts, my throat hurts,
My stomach is upset.
Can't go to work, I sleep all day,
I blow my nose and fret.

My ears are plugged,Can't hear a thing.
I have no appetite.
They say the worst s over now,
And healing is in sight.

Soon I'll be all better,
And I'll be hail and strong.
Just be patient, wait awhile.
I hope I live that long.

Anyone who's ever had a bad cold will relate to this, Judy. I know I shouldn't laugh at another's illness, but I did have to giggle. Hope you're not really down with a bug now. Sending a Soup mail. Great work! Hugs, Carolyn
