The World of the Inner Thought

Thinking
The one thing you do all alone
Be it a dream
A fantasy
Or something that just crossed your mind
The thoughts belong to you
No one can tell you about them
What to do with them
Where your thoughts can take you.
You can be who you want to be
Love whomever you want
The real world has no effect
There are no jobs
No kids
No responsibilities
Your thoughts are your own world
A world of your own making
To rule as a god
It is your world
It is your decision
And for once
No one is there to help

How true that thoughts are our only private possesions! I never "thought" of it that way before, but I hope you'll keep sharing your thoughts! Carolyn

As writers this is what we do with some of our thoughts! Rhyming or not a great write is a great write and this is one of them. I must offer you my thanks. Between your comment (about the rhyming) and a fellow Soupers poem I was inspired to write my new posting! Love Robin
