Notes About The Poem

The World Does Not Revolve Around Them

What makes me mad with total frustration
are people who think they're superior.
Graciously I deal with aggravation.
No one can make me feel inferior.

What happened to old-fashioned chivalry.
Politeness costs nothing and gains everything.
Rude manners take a bite delivery
a hunting, grinding and mincing back swing.

Strikingly polite people, external suns,
how great their perceived status, someone who,
cordial smile, act as if they are the ones
honored by the introduction, not you.

I will not tolerate a rude banshee
allowing them to run all over me.

I so appreciated my new supervisor taking the time to explain a new procedure...so nice. Another boss would do it but he is impersonal and towers over me, somehow managing to make me feel stupid...shall I go on...lol, I think not! Congrats, dear Eve!
