The Words To Air

Here am I,
Singing the songs I have sung before,
As if I have never sang them,

Thinking of the things
I have said and done,
And those unsaid and undone,

Thinking of what
I have gone through,
And what I am still to go through.

Not knowing which way to take,
What to say,
Nor what to do,

Seems to be at the boundary
Between the day and night,
Between life and death,

Hopeless and helpless,
Miserable and desperate,
I feel.

So sorry and sad,
For things I have said
And done,

Needing strength and help,
But above all,
Forgiveness from those I have hurt.

It continues…
