The Words of Bobby

It was fifty – five years ago when a man stepped out of the shadows
He had burning desire to change the course of this country
And give us all hope for a new tomorrow.
From every corner of this land they came to hear this man speak
To hear his words to find the comfort and truth they desperately did seek.

And then that one day the voice those words and that man was gone
A saddened nation slowly learned in had to carry on
Time passed by and we entered a new century
Yet many of us could not forget the man we called Bobby

And now it seems that fate has stepped in again
A young man with a smile steps up and we embrace him like a long lost friend
He speaks words that stir our hearts and together with him we stand.
He is part of this country's legacy
He is the son of Bobby Kennedy
