The Words

I’m falling for him
But can he tell

Sitting there next to him
I want to say it
To tell him the words
I couldn’t tell others

Could he be another you
A mindless replacement
Can things turn out the same

Am I an endless train wreck
Will there be no one for me

A soul lost in a sea of loneliness
Waiting for the moment
The moment when I tell him
The words I never told you

The words that burn in my throat
Making it impossible for any thing to get out
The words that dance on the tip of my tong
Waiting for the right second to escape and
Fill the air
