sunlight crossing the horizon reave through stout limbs arc, myriad leaves of the mighty oak tree. swift rhythm clatter rat-a-tat-tat sound flee of the Woodpecker's beak as it feeds beneath the bark 7/28/2021

Red-headed pileated woodpeckers can make those trees sing a tune or aluminum poles as well. LOL..I enjoyed reading this winner. Way to go. Congrats. Sara

what wonderful imagery Eve, I've never seen a woodpecker here but we used on have one visit our bird table when we lived in the uk:-) hugs Jan xx

Lovely lines!!! I love woodpecker.. A pair Comes to our home regularly to the nearby coconut tree and at times they feed on rice too and I used to film it and upload it in my YouTube channel... Recently they did mating dance... Beautifully penned...

Thank you, Jo, I do have it or the Mockingbird birds in my oak tree. I do try to mock the mocking birds :) it is fun.. Once I do, they or it gets silent and confuse and starts singing over again.
