The Wonders of His Right Hand
You built me up with majestic grace
You appeal to my seven senses,
A gift granted by my Lord
You were my illuminating halo
Midnight marvels are painted in the ebony skies
An abyss that enlightens your starlight
Once again, I’m having hot and cold flashes
Dashes of shame and dread drown me so
But, I know God is watching over me
He listens to my prayers – I yelp for help
Misfortune’s tune blossoms internally
This loneliness feels good to me, so let me go
Let me grow like the daisies in the field of faithfulness
I will show you wonders, said He
I accept His helping hand in sunlit glee
His right hand, wrinkly with knowledge and good works, reaches for my own
The glistening auras, surrounding His marvelous form, shows me that He understands
I’ve been stuck in place for so long,
But, someday, I will be free in space, singing a joyous song
The wonders of His right hand amaze me to the extreme
Is this a dream? Tell me, oh Lord of Accord, is this a dream?
I was breaking by the seams
He immediately mended my broken dreams
The days are slower than usual – I’ll try to fly
I’m the sick boy, watching the traffic zip on by
You reveal to me years of my bottled tears and endless cheers
Cheers to that! Cheers for the miracles that you granted me for years
Punished justly by my sins – thank you, Father, for forgiving me
Forget me not when I am an elder,
Drinking in Your beautiful knowledge and paradise – I’m a peace-dweller
Thanks for the food on the table,
Though I be emotional instable
I sinned freely and I was guilty of several crimes in my life
Tragedy strikes me like lightning and remorse cuts me like a knife
All my life, I’ve been searching for that mystery lover
God said to me, “Be patient, son of mine…”
I told Him in response foolishly, “I thought I was as worthless as swine”
“Quit your crying and keep your promises
You told me a billion times that you’d quit that cycle of sin – do you understand?
Clean up what’s deep within – delete all negative messages
Dwell with me and take my Helping Hand and walk with me to the Promiseland.”
“Okay, oh Lord of Accord…
I’ve been stabbed by this sword-
This sword of guilt for a very long time;
But, with you, I’ll have the time of my life – Life in the Kingdom will be so sublime.”
“Good…you are the light of the world.
Illuminate others and show them the Way.
Don’t corrupt them and I pray
That you’ll so well in the long run.”
The wonders of His right hand
Unraveled the terrific promiseland!
Thank you with my whole heart
I’m no longer torn apart
By depression’s hold
“Be bold, you’re strong
You don’t feel like you belong,
But always remember – if you need my help, just ask and you’ll receive”
