The Woman In Red ~ (A Ghost Tale)

shadows of sorrow
and discomfort
lay upon me
in this dismal place

dreadful and dark
spirits move
dancing in delight
at his drunken roars of laughter

waiting silently
timid and afraid
I know not where
days pass... year by year

another sun is near setting
as it falls silkily upon my soul
the precious silvery tingle
of love shared laughter

I feel you sicken
as I reach out to you
but i can not let go
I am bound now to protect you

having peered into depths
of purity and innocence
a deep well of true and abiding love
happily I leave this place.
