your lovely Haiku reminded me of my grandfather whom I called "Papa Wizard." He did all sorts of scientific experiments in his garage to teach me science and other cool stuff. He also talked on a ham radio to folks all over the world--long before cell phones, the internet, etc. I thought he had a magic wand in his closet :-) Anyway, this was such a delight write.
