Face to face with the witches of Halloween
curse black jellybeans

Zombie doctors, unbeating hearts out of whack
raisins giving back

Mad scientists, green goggles, double helix
rejecting trail mix

Undead bug blasters, squishing out eight-legged lice
No to apple slice

String cheese does not bring
Candy's following
Face to face with the witches of Halloween...

John Watt September 14, 2020 at 12:46 PM Really clever use of this form to describe the ghoulish trick-or-treaters in line 1 and the health food snacks they reject in line 2. I remember trick-or-treating as a kid (back in the Teddy Roosevelt administration) and receiving Alka-Seltzer tablets for indigestion! Very funny - wish I'd brought an egg for his front window! Super fun to read, thank you for the recommendation (which I just saw today, sadly!)
