The Winds of Time

O for the vigor of long lost days
O for the strength of youth
gone now and fallen by the way
replaced by that bitter truth

The truth of which is wrought by time
time that old scathing wind
that wind which courses thru our days
until the very end

Old wind of time take rest of me
leave me just for the day
leave me that I might laugh and sing
that I might run and play
