The Window of Truth

It
Starts
In my heart
But dies in my mind
Hope has lost the power it had
Perception is everything but views life through black eyes
The memories telling me one thing but life telling me that what you felt was all lies

Now not to leave you hanging. It is an observation made now, for things that have already passed. The reliving of a memory or memories from the past, with present insight or knowledge. I see myself by nature as heart, but by conditioning as mind. So a certain duality takes place. I hope that helps with the interpretation.

Well I'm not sure how you interpreted it, but the great thing about poetry while maybe one thing is meant, each person can interpret it their own way, to a certain degree of course, and still find meaning. With good poetry anyway, not that I'm claiming this is good, the form is different and I had done one and wanted to try it again.
