The Wind May Cripple

the wind may cripple
within the darkest corners
bask in the sunlight

A stunning haiku Russell with strong imagery and juxtaposition. Beautiful message of love and hope! And I gather, from the comments below, that you were in a terrible accident in late summer it seems.., I'm so sorry for that but happy that you are here, healing and commenting on our poetry my friend! Sending healing thoughts... :)

First time I've read your work, Russell. I love this succinct form and find it challenging in the sense of not to use too many "filler" words! To me, the wind holds just as many mysteries as the other elements. Really enjoyed your haiku, my new friend! As much as the days have their shades so do the nights have their lights! /|\

Russell wanted to jump in and write some Haikus like everybody else. So here is one that I liked, maybe you will enjoy it too. Emma :)
