The Wind Has Teeth
The wind has teeth today
nipping at my cheeks and ears
The chill air is a blade, ripping away
the lining of my jacket
The wan sun's rays fall helplessly to the ground
lacking any true conviction
Gray clouds swirl aimlessly overhead
mirroring the tenor of the day
Yet first snow's flakes linger in the air
somewhere in a snow-globe dimension
Two lovers move their lips in prayer
as five point stars melt on the kiss they share
