The Wind Chortled

The wind chortled
Just passing through
Teasing the ripples to white tips
Swaying trees twerked in her gusts
Hawks shrieked on a roller coaster down draft
Sunning turtles watched the duck down fly
Dragonflies didn’t

Love the last line best! Next: swaying trees twerked ... Lol best metaphor I read in a long while. Not forgetting the play on the words "down". This is a hoot!

took my kayak on the river in 25-30 MPH breezes...hooked a couple of fish and a school of metaphor. Thanks for stopping by to read and comment
