The Wilderness
The world around me
took my time away...
and it tried to take
everything else too,
but that did not happen.
Storms come and go,
and we all know
the truth of that fact.
Some we create ourselves,
while others
are pressed upon us.
The first wave of the ocean
is always cold and sudden,
but it soon changes
as we adjust to the tides...
that come and go.
In the darkness of the night
that often arrives in the daylight hours
just as black as midnight's power...
The Shadow...
Evil tries to win against our souls.
It tries to tell us we are old
and alone.
It lies.
There is no place on Earth
that the Lord does not occupy.
That He does not see and feel...
That He can not hear
the calls,
the pleading
the bleating of his
flock.
The wilderness is harsh,
but we are His
and He is strong...
Beyond all understanding,
it is simply the truth
of reality.
