Do not ask time
to work in tandem with you. It won't.
It revels in doing just the opposite.
It is Satan's vicious curse.
Time doesn't care if you have one leg
hopping along the fast lane
to keep up. It won't adjust to your pace.
It leaves you in the dust every time.
Do not bother extending
a hand of friendship to time.
It slaps down every outstretched hand.
It insists on staying your enemy.
Time seethes with envy; so envious
it's working year after year
to ravage your beautiful face with age,
to oxidize all your precious shiny things.
It scoffs at your youth and vitality
so enjoy them while you have them.
Live your life while both are still intact.
before time wreaks its havoc.
Marvel at the colorful flowers
blooming in your garden while spring
is still young, for time will eventually
wilt them all. Cruel and merciless; time...
kills us all in the end!
