The Whimsical Autumn Air Is Mine

The whimsical autumn air is mine
I feel as if I have complete control of time
The red and brown of my fallen friends
Means that it is time to start all over again
I wonder if I committed a crime
The whimsical autumn air is mine
It is like I stole it in the night
Cause suddenly I felt its frigid bite
No matter where I go
The earthy colors seem to show
The whimsical autumn air is mine
I may have to start believing in the divine
But what do I know
I merely watch as it comes and goes
Still, I can’t say any other season outshines
The whimsical autumn air is mine
