The Wheat and the Tare

They crept upon our shores eating away the inner core They crept upon our shore knocking on our barricade doors Tall stout men with peevish eyes and strange looks on their white faces Invade our quarters looking for our beautiful daughters. I could hear their heavy boots drilling up and down the corridors carrying an unfamiliar odor looking precariously over each other’s shoulder and their rancor breathe with pickled sauce splash saliva over the freshly painted wall. They stepped out of big motor boats with handkerchief wrapped around their throat and big machine guns strapped to their shoulder hopping and bobbing while cleaning their throat. They seduced the women in their beds and turn the old people into leads. One group has died and another is born revealing its dirty scorn. You have sold your golden crown for a two pence night gown and here you are running around the town searching for a useless crown. They clasped their hands and held on to courage, looking steadfast at the dancing heels flying around in the sky and the bumble making a landmark as it tumble in the dark. Strangers finding their way around the town without a chaperone they were part of the wishful night. The home boys take to the bushes scaling corn rows and mangroves. They moved through the town aimlessly plundering cities and upscale communities. They besieged the entire town, taking Beverly Hills, stony hills, manning hills, harbor view and Mountain View. They kept coming in droves, hot balloon, and parachute and dug out boats. They took over airstrip and runaway blocking entrance and exits and opening wide all the precipit .They dug sinkholes all around and no one could leave the besieged towns. Helicopter swerves around in the air sending a message far and near. Hundreds of them descend upon gang infested communities shaking bad men out of their wits. They break down barricades, and shoot off the heavy padlocks and drag gunmen by their locks. They ransacked the rooms and confiscate shotguns assault weapon and birthday balloons Thousands of them rounded up before the break of day Naked bodies half masked in under pants, taken forcefully to the square I watched then from a distance trembling in fear, outlaw men and women whose voices used rumble above the chimneys suddenly went dumb at the sight of the gun. With heads hanging low they walked in lines with both hands clinging to the back of their heads and the drones flying above the skies. Their manhood suddenly came under siege and their tongue sticking firmly to the roof of their mouth prevent them from uttering a single sound, they stare at each other in awe shaking their heads as if they are giving patron to the dead. Women and children converge in separate groups were also usher into the streets, some carrying babies on their breast and the crying and screaming created much confusion in the streets. The white man glanced at the crowd in the streets urging them to move quickly. He fire some shots in the air and panicked crowd started to shout. They walked quickly in groups of two until they reach the square. And when the houses were empty they set fire to all the cities and communities. The fires burnt thousands of homes in the communities, purifying everything in its path until everything was brought back to the start and so the wheat was separated from the tears and perish in the harvest the same year. And what was left of it sprang anew.
