The West Wind

Remember me when the west wind blows
I thought our love was forever
and we walked together in the green grass
so how could I be so careless?

It's winter now and all I have left
Memories of summer kisses
and your warm embrace
how could I have been so careless?

I walk on the frosted green grass
it's cold in the north wind
but I am colder inside.
How could I have been so careless?

are you lost to me?
am I never going to hold you?
I love you still
how could I be so careless?

Take pity on me,
let me feel your warm embrace
forgive my careless actions
and remember me when the west wind blows
