The Way He Loves Me

Bright brown eyes,
beautiful smile.
His laugh.
He's perfect.
when he holds me,
I feel safe.
When no one cares,
he's there.
When I want everyone to let me be,
he's there.

There's something about him
About the way he loves me,
that makes me feel like,
Like I can take on the world
with one hand while my love
is holding my other.

Fake smile,
real tears.
He takes the pain away.
He is my drug,
and I'm helplessly addicted to him.

He holds me close,
and I close my eyes.
When there's nothing to say,
we sit in silence,
but that's okay.
As long as I'm in his arms.

We kiss in the rain,
and cuddle under blankets.
There's just...
There's something about the way he loves me
that I can't explain.
