The Water Lily

She rises from the murky Depths of the pond; Unsullied and undiscouraged. The frog hops on her bosom. The fish steals a kiss from her cheek. The rain throws droplets on her The withered leaves fall on her. Her quietude is so strong The pond sits in silence. -maria corado 8.21.16
