The Warm and Furry Coat a Parody

This is a parody, based on Robert Frosts's Poem, " Stopping by the Woods. " ~~~The Warm And Furry Coat---- (Based on Robert Frost.” (Stopping by the woos: Whose coat is that? I think I know. Its owner is quite happy though. Full of joy like a vivid rainbow. I watch her laugh. I cry hello! She gives her coat a shake, And laughs until her belly aches. The only other sound's the break, Of distant waves and birds awake. The coat is warm,furry and deep, But she has promises to keep, After cake and lots of sleep. Sweet dreams come to her, deep. She rises from her gentle bed, With thoughts of kittens in her head, She eats her jam with lots of bread. Ready for the day ahead! November 21, 2023}

Hello Panagiota ... I think the four lines rhyming in each verse gives your poem real appeal. Very pleasant indeed - Lindsay

All based on Frosts poem. Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening. If you have never read it, do. His is far more touching. I only used his pattern. Panagiota xxx
