The Waiting Room

Have an appointment
   Waiting, waiting, long
    Too many waiting
     To see the doctor
      All waiting their turns

      One child very young
      Screaming loudly
      She can not settle
      It is neve racking
      Waiting, waiting, wait

       Waiting, waiting, calm
       Waiting, waiting, calm
       For my turn to come
       So I sit and wait
       Creating this poem

Good one Darlene! We all end up in the waiting room. I take my iPad with me to read poetry, emails, etc. I cannot bear waiting rooms. We go early like 7am. I am the first person he sees. He also reads my poems. He’s more than a doctor to me. We laugh a lot. I refuse any vaccines. He knows better. We laugh a lot. I am so blessed to have him. One of the best doctors in my city. Everyone here loves him but he has not taken a new patient for four years, he’s so in demand! In hospital, wrote 10 a day for 3 weeks! Pangie xx

Darlene, he told me I am his favorite patient because I make him laugh a lot. There is no seriousness when I am there. You never met me, but I know how to make people laugh. It’s easy. I just am open, honest and unafraid to say a thing. Plus I use my exoperience as a stand up…I can be funny in person, but cannot write comedy well at all. I leave that to other poets. I like to be with others and laugh. I couldn’t write a joke if I tried. Will send you a picture of him, Luv you, Pangie xx

Great that you could get through it all writing this poem Darlene. I have written poems at the hospital before. One in the ER and one in the pre surgery room! I hope all is well. Take care. Hugs :)

If the wait continues to be 'nerve-wracking,' you may have to see a neurologist too! :) gw

Hello Gershon, it was nerve racking because the child was very loud. She settled down, and it was quier. She was the next to be seen by the doctor. Enjoy your day my friend.

I have done that before. If one keeps busy the time goes faster. That is the wonderful thing about poetry, any subject may become a poem. Hope you finally got in to see your doctor. Have a blessed week my friend. Xxoo
