The Waiting

Moments passed
Days that took years I gasped
Fragments of yesterday
I skipped and delay

My heart that rolled
From mountain to the ground and scrolled
A wishing heart to touch you again
Missing you, embracing you without pain

Memories you left in me
Accessories I wore and slept with me
Each day I see a smiling sun
Your face in full moon filming, not pun

Time traveled fast
Without you beside me that last
Time will bring you back to me
Your heart and soul hails in me

This tale has a happy ending, I think, but so many more do not. Nice writing Clifford. :)
