The Void

Such a dark and empty feeling from deep down within
Yet no one else can really see through that stoic little grin
With each new day becoming the same old thing
Listen to what I say in knowing what I bring

For that hollow feeling inside continues to grow and grow
And no matter what you've tried the answer you still don't know
Because you built this wall and have hid behind it so long
That when you do finally fall you are not nearly that strong

It's a darkness that pervades as it follows you around
Your spirit he invades making you less and less sound
And no matter what you try to do or how you try to avoid
Hopefully at least you know that it's you who is being destroyed

This darkness which you feel is your soul crying out
For that it is all real as simply reflected in your doubt
For it knows The Way and can get you back home
But you need to pray and cradle it when you roam
