The Voice Inside My Head

The voice inside my head,
 echo's "do you know your purpose, here?",
 "why you not dead?";
 (whisper)
 The thought won't subside
 until you eat of Christ bread.

 "But where am I to be feed?"
 I exclaim, looking for insight;
 That voice in my head starts to recite.

 "The thing you seek
 is near to you
 more close than you know,
 why haven't you a clue.
 You look to you-
 and not unto your heart,
 you reach for the world
 to do your part."
 "when you gone start?,
 since all the roles, have you played.
 From a parentless child, to the dope fiend slave."

 Then the voice says
 "I dare you-behave,
 everything will get better".
 "Can you not try harder
 you have seen worse weather".

 "Stop your search for a worldly pleasure;
 for they only last a while,
 they compare less to those of my house,
 and plus you are a treasure."

 "Treasures, where? and which way do I go?"

 Calm yourself,
 read of your heart;
 put your trust in me
 and stop your depart.
 It isn't up, nor is it away
 you should grow;
 it is to be broader and teach others;
 you know-
 to give of yourself in a more selfless way.
 To unite your heart with charity
 and let love be direction.
 For it is the love of this
 voice in your head
 that is truly the blessing.

 Listening to the voices of/in my head,
 and to choose what is right;
 is to truly be lead.
 And before we can lead
 we must learn to follow
 even if it's as shallow
 as a righteousness voice in/of the head.
