The Visit

We had a small tiff.
Stupid, foolish, and headstrong.
She gave me a push,
I fell on the hard pavement.
Darn fool, I broke my left leg.

If I could fly far
To a secluded green vale,
Would I find you there?
With a broken leg in bed?
Why don’t you come to visit me?

You are all smiles now.
I feel elated by love.
Let us forget the past.
I'll love you infinitely.
Nothing will separate us.
As she gave me a long kiss.

You’d accept her even with a push and shove? Still, I love the romance. Hugs

"As she gave me a long kiss." -- and then sat beside me on the bad, on my injured leg by mistake? What the heck...it is all good, a natural part of life. Have a great New Year my friend.

Quite a twisty poem about how Love behaves, Victor. It threshes without severing, behaving with fickleness. The trick is to become “the secluded green vale” ! Interesting imagery. Best for New Year.

Well, I don't know how to feel about this work. I hope just a poem and not about your life at any point in your life. Forgiveness is good and going on is good provided there really isn't any abuse. I enjoyed reading this one. Thank you for sharing. Sara K
