The Veil of Night

A veil covers your countenance and keeps your eyes focused. At your side rests your hand which grips a bouquet of your favourite flowers. Your other hand is entangled with my fingers and the warmth is inviting. We wait until the sky opens and lets out her nightly orchestra of crickets. Shall we dance is my inquiry as you gaze upon my face. You share your deepest concern as I assure you that there is nothing to fear. The stars are our stage and the music swells with every step that we take. The moon is a spotlight to our motion that is gaining momentum.
