Notes About The Poem

I want to liken the transformation of a vampire to the life of an atheist. All people are born into sin. It is the transforming of a life that the Holy Spirit empowers the sacrificial life of Jesus Christ and empowers the Christian to a cruciform way of life of sanctification leading to eternal life. The atheist is in denial even self-deception, when it is claimed they have been set free, ironically atheists are under the bondage of their own will, that will can only sin. The transformation of a vampire is a life that is led away from the Christian values into a life of assumed autonomy. Atheists really know God but attempt to deny His very existence which is proven by their very ability to reason. Atheism presupposes theism. The emotional structure of someone that is turned into a vampire can make them unstable. So is the life of an atheist who attempts to deny God by using their unstable emotional and subjective efforts. The only saving grace among all this chaos is Jesus Christ. What I mean is life is in the blood for the living, and life is in the blood for the dead. Vampires need to feed on others, as the atheist needs to feed on the Christian worldview to make sense of logic, reason, and ethics. You cannot escape God’s existence (you may try to deny it or redefine it) but you will never escape Him. If you are an atheist vampire there is hope in Christ, but that nature must die to live.

The Vampire Proof of God's Existence

Vampires and atheists do exist in theory
The folklore and the heresy persist in query
The transformation of a vampire
Is likened to an atheist’s desire
And intellectual efforts make an atheist weary

Vampires and atheists engage in self-deception
It is the bondage of their mind, their predilection
This assumed autonomy, a pseudo freedom if you will
Has their minds on themselves, their own god in quill
How can a natural mind appeal to universal reflection?

Atheism presupposes theism
You can’t stand alone, it’s pseudo-deism
Left alone they both attempt to scheme
But they are left with a biological theme
Universals (not synapses) make up the intellectual prism

Emotions in motion are devotion
It’s the vampire-atheist notion in commotion
Where converted vampires are perverted
And atheists’ conventions are skirted
Because God teems the intellectual ocean

This cruciform life is because of Christ
Not some rogue vampires who live in the night
How can a naturalist account for an abstraction?
This requires philosophical satisfaction
Not humanistic redaction or plight

Life’s blood pulses in the living stead
He is the Blood needed for the dead
Both borrow and keep taking more
Atheists from The Intellect, the vampire from folklore
Both redefine as No True Scotsman has said

But neither can make sense of abstract entities
One will deny them the other just flees
But denial of them will only lead
To one left to bleed and one left to plead
No accountability, the curtains blow in the breeze

The Hope is Jesus Christ who has come to make peace
To calm the raging water, and make the chaos to cease
But you must think His thoughts after Him
If not start sinking, all others start to swim
Because there is a lot at stake (every vampire would agree)

P.S. While they hide in obscurity's mist
Neither vampires or atheists truly exist
