The Value of Sound Doctrine
The scriptures conveys divine revelation
within this is God's everlasting gospel
pointing one to God's only begotten son
the blessed saviour saving souls from hell
This Jesus Christ son of the eternal God
came down from heaven the son of man
teaching sound doctrine to all who listen
for this gospel is all His eternal plan
God looks to His own to keep His truth
holding it deep and close to their heart
for if they give up on sound doctrine
the consequences will rip them apart
The folly of following the worldly way
is falling away from redemption's path
denying God and His gracious love
for seeking the world brings His wrath
So hold sound doctrine firmly first
put the world behind properly dead
live for God for it's fullest value
real satisfaction in His living bread
