The Unspooling

I'm tethered
        as gravity ungathers
 unspooling into time
      inhalation is ~
        other versions of self

           tie me down
        with these ragged lines
                   words thread
                       into fine yarn
                   stretching across the infinite

               with them
            construct a reality
              & I'll give all that I am
             into these reels
                dedicate lifetime after lifetime
                   into the lifeline
                 that contains you
            craft every art-form
       into your likeness

            I'm a marionette
             feeling wanted
              & wanting
              always wanting

        your hands
     the only anchor
  across my existence
   to stop me
                      f
                 l
               o
           a
              t
          i
      n
        g

            a
               w
              a

Dear Laurentine, your muse this morning feels torn from the inner chamber where the soul bargains with its own abyss. I absorbed the trembling of a spirit unraveling, thread by thread, yet still reaching for the one presence that keeps it from vanishing into the cold machinery of fate. I believe there is a raw devotion, almost dangerous, offering the whole self to... I’m focused on the words you carved into every falling letter. Blessings, Daniel

Thank you so much for visiting my page Daniel :) I'm actually not inclined to star crossed love or ill fated romance in real life but am drawn to it poetically. I've mused on it many times but am only a fan of well grounded friendship and mutual adoration in reality. Perhaps in a past life I was more devotional haha - who knows! Thank you for your kind and intelligent commentary :)

just wow! No other words for this! I know i might sound redundant, but its true, you are so edgy, catchy, unique in your way with word weaving, that makes me your #1 FAN! Yeap! I fan you! Hahha and I am inspired by this take honestly! I call myself marionette and that stanza, really hits home for me! Every word resonates!!! Theres a sensuousness in this that is so very poetic and pleasant, not the kind that is off putting, the kind that would leave all readers faving this! Best wishes! Love it

Well of course you can be the first to wear the t shirt (should we get the business off the ground)! :) lol - you are wise to get in first as #1, I've been writing for 4 years now, so any minute the others are going to flood my comments haha! Thank you for the effusive praise :)
