The Unfurling Wings
Once, a cage of custom, tight and small,
Held her spirit, bound and in thrall.
But now she yearns, a restless soul,
To break the bars, to make her whole.
Like fledgling bird, she feels the urge,
To spread her wings, and take the surge
Of life's wild winds, to soar and fly,
Beyond the sky, towards a sunlit sky.
The chains of doubt, they fall away,
She rises strong, to face the day.
Her heart beats loud, a fearless drum,
The world awaits, she's coming, come!
