The candles lit in starry night moon tryst Upon the skyline tabletop tonight. The wolfish howl bids dusk a lusty kiss. The eyes aurora borealis green. The tangerine and blackened bat duet — The blend surrenders to the sinking ship. Their heart, the moon, does slowly dress for bed. The harbinger ignored with full gown worn — A curtain drawn until the death of night. The vampirish wings creak first up then down. Old owls in whisper talk and turn their heads. The vesper bells throw dark bouquet — a shroud. A clandestine resound, of lover’s nest, Is pinned into the faithless din of silk. 7/18/2018 Pinet’s Dusk Or Dawn Poetry Contest 14 lines

I had to read this twice, the second time slowly to let the ambiance sink in. Loved it.
