The Two Children

THE TWO CHILDREN The two children, Of empyreal and mundane Inclinations. Addicted to their preoccupations. One hating iniquity. The other, chastity. The mundane child, Eternity he has forgotten. The empyreal child, in Posterity always awaken. One steadfast in spirituality The other diligent in canality. O thee mundane child, What will thee tell posterity? That thee squandered thy life in Frivolity? Ah! it is abysmal. You empyreal child, You must not forget, Posterity also await your Fecundity. I beseech thee, Entangle not thyself, With the mundane's child Barbarity.
