The Turtle In the Desert
TURTLE IN THE DESERT
Not so very long ago,
In a desert with no name,
A little turtle found himself,
Lost in the deserts flame,
Crawling long and aimlessly,
He came upon a sight,
He saw a brother turtle,
Sharing the same plight,
Lying still upon a dune,
Motionless, dare he assume,
No, he said it can not be,
Moving closer, so he could see,
There he stayed,
Until the sun had set,
Telling his new friend,
Do not worry or fret,
But the heat was bad,
Till the stars in the skies,
Lifted there lids,
And opened there eyes,
that’s when he saw,
His friend was a rock,
He said thank you friend,
And continued to walk,
The moral of this story,
In case you did not see,
A friend is a friend,
No matter what he might be,
