The Tunnel

I have walked through the tunnel of vision but my eyes were closed, I saw nothing when I
should have saw everything, just as I've walked through the tunnel of love and felt
nothing when I should have felt compassion, I've walked through the tunnel of friendship
and turned away, hiding in the shadows of shapes and sillouetts, feeling only suspicion. I
have walked through the eyes of motherhood closing my eyes to my children, giving not
enough.I have walked through the tunnel of birth and childhood afraid of others smiles,
I've walked through the tunnel of life, only to let darkness overcome me....
