The Truth That Really Hurts

lies are over-rated
  truth can be much worse
    lies may cause a little pain
     but are often only words
  truth is you don't care
    and y' never really did.
      love is in the distance with
         all o' her motives hid
you'll not be the last and you wouldn't be the first
you put a man to task, it's the truth that really hurts

            the truth that really hurts

lies are complicated
  it’s hard to keep them straight
     I felt a little sorry 
       when yours were out of date
truth can be too painful
  I didn’t want to know
    and love can be elusive
     when putting on a show
you'll not be the last and you wouldn't be the first
you can cry or laugh, it's the truth that really hurts

            the truth that really hurts

no one's keeping the score
but this is how it ends
  I don't really care for 
              imaginary friends 
you'll not be the last and you wouldn't be the first
'cuts me clean in half, it's the truth that really hurts

		the truth that really hurts
