Why dost thou turn thy face from me;
Is thine Guilt too much to bear?
Thy tears gush sans sincerity-
Yes, I know: Life isn't fair

No, thou mustn't tell me twice,
Nor must thee remind me thrice
God knows I know, ten times been told-
The Truth isn't always nice...

No problem at all, Lara; I know what it's like to be the "new kid"; hope everyone is being friendly and helpful and showing you around. Obi-Wan Kenobi in "Star Wars" tells Luke that "truth" depends greatly on our own point of view, so I suppose we are all right in that respect. Thanks for the read and review :)

So true! And, I know this all too well. Sometimes, I would rather hear a lie, than a truth that would upset me. Even though, I think we do know what the truth is in our hearts. You give the reader much too ponder on in this poem. Fantastic work!
